   Diagnostic Imaging Services

The Diagnostic Imaging Services Department at Houston Northwest Medical Center is a full-service outpatient radiology department equipped with some of the latest imaging technologies available. Our team of 15 radiologists and trained technologists and assistants is committed to the highest level of patient care and customer satisfaction. They work 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, providing a full range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services. On average, our team handles reading services for the hospital’s 65,000 emergency room and 19,000 inpatients annually.

Unique to Houston Northwest Medical Center is specialty accreditation for our magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound and non-invasive vascular lab services by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and other professional organizations.

All examinations are performed and interpreted by physicians who are certified by the American Board of Radiology. They may also have advanced subspecialty fellowship training is such areas as body imaging, image guided biopsy, neuroradiology, ultrasound, mammography, interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.

The rapid communication of precise results to referring physicians is possible through the hospital’s new Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Timely, accurate testing results can be available quickly and viewed at the hospital, remote office or home using a web browser.
