In 1971, a group of physicians bought 60 acres along a two-lane, farm-to-market throughway called Jackrabbit Road in northwest Harris County. Back then the area was nothing more than a cow pasture. Those founding physicians were convinced the area held great potential for growth. They were right.
Today, Houston Northwest Medical Center is a thriving hospital with a medical staff of approximately 600 members and more than 1,700 employees who proudly serve our community, offering a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic imaging services. We offer free seminars, preventative health screenings and other events throughout the year to help residents in our community lead healthier lives.
The Ed Roberson Heart Center, emergency department, intensive care unit and additional private patient rooms – all within the South Tower – are evidence of Houston Northwest Medical Center’s commitment to advancing medical care in northwest Harris County. We will continue to grow in 2008 to provide greater access to quality care and convenience to our patients.
For more than 30 years, the health care professionals at Houston Northwest Medical Center have been dedicated to discovering new techniques and offering advanced medical solutions to improve the health of their patients.
