Houston Northwest Medical Center offers a patient-centered environment that focuses on providing quality care with dedication to each and every individual patient, as well as family members. We care for patients just as we would our own family members. As a critical care nurse, I enjoy working with other the nurses and physicians on the medical staff where our opinions and ideas are heard, valued, and supported. I love being part of a dynamic clinical team that is devoted to creating and implementing innovative programs for enhanced quality patient care.

Three years ago my wife recommended that I complete an intensive care unit internship at Houston Northwest Medical Center. I knew the hospital was a good place to work because she worked in the emergency department here. Now I have a great, flexible, full-time schedule and I enjoy the people I work with. They make all the difference here. Everyone is really helpful and has a good attitude. That is so important because we help patients through such difficult times when they are in the intensive care unit.

The people who work at Houston Northwest Medical Center are like family to me. We care about each other and have a really strong support system. I have worked at other places, but returned to our hospital and felt like I was coming home. I never feel alone here because our administration stands behind us and encourages a family atmosphere, the people who work here keep me grounded, and I am part of a unique group of individuals working toward a single purpose of providing quality patient care.
