Houston Northwest Medical Center's Library has approximately 1,000 volumes and 100 medical journal titles available. The library is open to both staff and the public from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Health Information Center has a collection of books, magazines, newsletters and videos that people can use to help them make informed health care choices. Among the available newsletters are Mayo Clinic Health Letter and the Harvard Health Letter. Most of the material is available for checkout.
Houston Northwest's library maintains a membership in the Houston Academy of Medicine Texas Medical Center Library. When a doctor or nurse requests a volume or medical journal that is not on hand, it may be ordered from the Medical Center Library and should be available within a few days.
