Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging
The Breast Center at Houston Northwest Medical Center is equipped to offer the diagnostic capability for Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI). This technique can be an effective tool in the early detection of breast cancer and in the recognition of malignant tumors. The American Cancer Society recommends that women over age 40 have an annual screening mammogram. Pre-existing family conditions may warrant an earlier screening.
